htc touch pro text problems

im haveing a problmes im not getting a ring when i get a text message so i never know when i get a new text . im useing mighty rom if anyone has any ideas how to fix this i could really use ur help thnx for any help

Have you looked under the sound settings to see if you have it set up correctly? Go to Settings>Sounds and Notifications>Notifications (might be Advanced on your phone) and look in the drop down box for Messaging: New Text Message and set your settings how you want.

Also make sure both tabs of volume are turned up.

And in Start>Settings>Sounds/Notifications make sure the box is checked to play a sound for notifications
