Re: [4-20] nueDynamicClock - dynamically adjust clock for battery life

btw, what speeds should i use? to maximize battery life?

also what does it mean by surviving a soft reset?
will this reduce tetheing speeds? will it cause problems to the phone with nue fast charge on?

one problem that i found.
is there a way for you to incorporate an option in the future release so we can add our list of programs into the list so that while they are running, the dynamic clock doesn't kick into place while suspended?

the reason i ask is because, i play a lot of online streaming music through window media player. i realized that if i stream and i press the power button to go into suspend, it would lock up the phone. i could not turn it on unless soft reset.

Sweet. This reminds me of my old Dell Axim X51v's "Auto" processor speed for the Intel PXA720 processor....always kept it on that mode to optimize battery life, and it basically felt the same as it running at full speed. Hopefully your app can do the same!

Many props for you to being able to program this for the qualcomm chipset.

Edit: donated! I figure it's much deserved, and I'm using like 5 of your utilities. Cheers.

I just ran into 2 weird issues with app. It turns off quickmenu while running, and opera mini has strange behavior with it. For some reason opera mini's 2 lower softkeys (menu & back) disappear. Hmmm, maybe its just me, anyone else?

I read this on nue2chem's page --> http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/

So he is already working on it :D

"A program monitor and a scheme for picking clock speeds based on which programs are running is in the works. "

I installed this on my CDMA TP on wm6.5 with no complications. Currently running fine and it reduced my standby discharge current from 61mA to 17mA.

I haven't noticed any complications or performance hits yet; so far so good!

hmm, 17ma is feasible out of a small photocell... :mrgreen:
