Disable Wake up on Touch Pro

How do you disable the phone from waking up when you get a text message. I dont have the "DisableSMSWakeUpEvent" in my registry.

Weird my keys locked up on my old Touch Pro phone and I had it replaced with this one. My old phone did not wake up on SMS. Is it due to a ROM version.

I am having this problem too except i DO HAVE "DisableSMSWakeUpEvent" in my reg and its set to "1" and the screen still turns on after I get a SMS

Just out of curiousity, how do you read an sms if it doesn't wake up??

You hit the screen button to turn the screen back on

My goal is so it stops calling people in my pocket because the screen turns on with each text message I get.

I have Mightymiks ROM5 which supposedly fixed that, but my phone still wakes.

Also, I have registery editor - and DisableWakeonSMS is set to 1, but still wakes.

there has not been a fix for cdma phones. use a locking app like touchlockpro or s2u2

From what i have seen so far on WM6+ its a known WM issue....has nothing to do with the phone....It used to happen to me all the time and now that i have Rhodium based ROM it doesn't do it all. Like DonSim suggested any locking app including the basic WM one will resolve the issue.

Can anyone confirm that it doesn't happen when using a Rhodium based ROM? Also, how do I confirm that a ROM is Rhodium based? I remember a while ago ROMs were labeled as Rhodium, but I'm not finding anything new. I'm running MightyROM 6.5 final on my wife's TP. She's flipping out about it calling people, as I would be too, but she hates lock screens because she can't tell who's calling right away and it takes too long to get from lock screen to picking up a call.

I've really only used Mighty's stuff on her TP as it's been rock solid with minimal work once installed.

I guess I could cook up a ROM in the kitchen if having Rhodium really works and I don't like what's available. I've never done that though, so we'll see.

Please respond with how you were able to disable the screen from coming on when receiving SMS/Text messages and if having a Rhodium ROM made it not come on.

This has only been a problem for CDMA devices, if your GSM your good to go, but CDMA your out of luck. I'm Sprint so I'm out of luck which sucks cuz I have been wanting this fix since I got the phone months ago, still no fixes... even in MightyROM 5, it is still there. Every ROM I have flashed has it, so we just gotta deal with it...
