Re: Maximize battery life...

I've been using the Sprint radio 1.07 for a while, flashed to Telus 1.04 last night to see if it helped any...phone sitting idle all night with ~10 emails being pushed to it, still have 100% charge this morning (~9 hours later). I'll try Mighty when I get to work and flash back to 1.07, see how it works out...if I still can't make it through the day, time for a spare battery or an extended battery (agh...its thick enough as is!).

Ignore the data connection issue, it goes gray then your ok. Also try Advanced configuration, lots of tweaks, worked great for me. With semi heavy use, I get 8-10 hours now. Make sure that your bluetooth is off and ignore the ir beam, the TP doesn't have Ir.

Re: Maximize battery life...

Data connection turns on each time your email downloads new mail so it will come on.
When not in use it goes gray at the top of your screen. No power use if it is gray.

When my phone is plugged into my pc, it does not charge because I changed the setting to not charge while plugged into pc.

i just wish verizon wasnt as expensive and had more (good) phone choices
never again will i have a "dumb" phone

Ok lets see, I am a Police Officer by profession and my cell phone is a real important part of my job(other LEO's will know what i mean) I have been with the following companys

Alltell
Verizon
centennial

Sprint is the last one i went to and will never change, For 1 they are by far the cheapest for me. 2. The coverage in my area is the best with sprint 3. IMO the Customer service at Sprint is second to none. Now my department went to the nextel direct connect for our cruisers and last i worked (been off with a work related injury) is when they first merged and the nextel direct connect sucked BUT i am a County cop and we are always out in the boonies, They may have got better since the last time i used one........i love sprint and will never change companies. i imagine you will run into a moron or 2 but that's life, My experience with them has always been A+.

Try it for yourself and if you do not like it, since it is a cab file, you can just remove it

I installed this cab this morning and after listening to XM radio for over an hour and several hours of additional use and I am still at 51% battery life. I would normally be at this level without listening to XM. I don't know what it is doing but it certainly improved my battery life! :headbang:
