I've been using the Sprint radio 1.07 for a while, flashed to Telus 1.04 last night to see if it helped any...phone sitting idle all night with ~10 emails being pushed to it, still have 100% charge this morning (~9 hours later). I'll try Mighty when I get to work and flash back to 1.07, see how it works out...if I still can't make it through the day, time for a spare battery or an extended battery (agh...its thick enough as is!).

Re: Maximize battery life...

Ignore the data connection issue, it goes gray then your ok. Also try Advanced configuration, lots of tweaks, worked great for me. With semi heavy use, I get 8-10 hours now. Make sure that your bluetooth is off and ignore the ir beam, the TP doesn't have Ir.

Re: Maximize battery life...

Data connection turns on each time your email downloads new mail so it will come on.
When not in use it goes gray at the top of your screen. No power use if it is gray.

When my phone is plugged into my pc, it does not charge because I changed the setting to not charge while plugged into pc.

Alltell
Verizon
centennial

Sprint is the last one i went to and will never change, For 1 they are by far the cheapest for me. 2. The coverage in my area is the best with sprint 3. IMO the Customer service at Sprint is second to none. Now my department went to the nextel direct connect for our cruisers and last i worked (been off with a work related injury) is when they first merged and the nextel direct connect sucked BUT i am a County cop and we are always out in the boonies, They may have got better since the last time i used one........i love sprint and will never change companies. i imagine you will run into a moron or 2 but that's life, My experience with them has always been A+.

Try it for yourself and if you do not like it, since it is a cab file, you can just remove it

I installed this cab this morning and after listening to XM radio for over an hour and several hours of additional use and I am still at 51% battery life. I would normally be at this level without listening to XM. I don't know what it is doing but it certainly improved my battery life! :headbang:

I extracted the .cab file from the .rar file and installed the cab. I didn't have to do anything else. Hope this helps!

Actually thats not true. May want to re-read what was stated. No2chem himself admits that this will not help while in a phone call, yes..but when the phone is idling or you're just playing with Windows Mobile there is an improvement. I've used 24% of my battery since 10:30 am with texting, internet and some program installation. 76% left at 4 PM..its definitely doing something.

The name of the cab is SPJ_Battery_Performance.cab. I just opened File Explorer and clicked on it and it installed just as any other cab does.

I have the greatest respect for no2chem :headbang: and use several of his programs but this cab seemed to make a difference for me. I will report back in a couple of days to see if I am still getting improved battery life.

This is from a text file inside the .rar file.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery
Default on most roms
PollInterval REG_DWORD 20000-DEC
changed to:
PollInterval REG_DWORD 1250-DEC

Feel free to mess around with the DEC numbers....see what gets the best Battery life from your rom

would you mind checking what the discharge is with this installed and with out it installed?

so i went to change the number to 1250 and it was already at 5000 not 20000.
maybe no2chem was talking about a different .cab file im going to test and see how big of a difference, if any this makes

does anybody have try "batteryreg" ? it seem that need to be put on the registry is not a cab file (correct me if i'm wrong)

I checked the discharge rates and there appears to be no difference whether the cab is installed or not. Is it possible the cab helps when the screen is off?

To "save" battery the interval number being higher saves battery. The lower the number the more often the processor will poll the battery so instead of checking the battery every 1.25 seconds it checks the battery every 20 seconds. So the lower the number the more accurate but less efficient.

Re: Maximize battery life...

Hey there guys .... sorry for not having the file as a cab file itself, but I see someone did it for me already (Thank You bigwally). In addition to my first post to this thread I also added the WinRar for PPC, so it will be easier and you just have to do it in your phone directly and avoid any complications.

If problems persist please let me know, PM me or continue the questions here.

so technically this could just make the battery more accurate and wouldnt help the battery life very much?

Hey there I see you got the cab file directly I honestly suggest for all of you guys to download the RAR for PPC as well it helps a lot with memory management.
