Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
Well, considering the fact that its your desktop rendering the page using your high-speed internet connection, I'm not surprised... All the TP has to do is receive an image of whats displayed on your monitor!

Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
It doesn't make much sense why the browser load time on the TP is so slow. I get that the internet connection in the RDP session is fast too, but geez, there's a huge difference. Opera seems to take forever to load sometimes!

Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
Opera mini works on the same concept: A computer is rendering the image for you rather than your touch pro.
Skyfire does the same thing I believe. This is nothing new.

Iris on my touch pro seems quite a bit faster than opera. Anyone else think so?

Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
Opera Mobile renders the page on the device, not on a remote server. Opera Mini renders server side, along with Skyfire and Iris. PIE is also on-device rendering.

Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
Of course your computer would be 10+ times faster then a wireless device
All RDP is doing is receiving the images your computer is doing. the phone itself isn't loading high speed internet connection

Re: RDP browser faster than Opera!
heh. Of course it's faster, all your RDP viewer is doing is displaying a very fast updated bitmap image... i.e 'video'. Your browser on the login being viewed is doing the "heavy lifting" here.
How do you think it works?
