Touch screen doesn't respond

It just happened, don't all these gadget stories begin this way? The keyboard seems to work, but the touch screen doesn't respond. the buttons under the screen (end, call, home). Also, the battery indicator doesn't show my TP charging when plugged in to PC or wall. After some soft resets, the battery may start charging. I will call sprint tomorrow, Hope I can a new one. Any idea what the problems may be?
