Alltel Touch Pro on Verizon

Is the process for converting a touch pro from Sprint or Alltel still not working?

Other branded phones are selling so much cheaper on Ebay, it would be nice if I could get it to work on Verizon.

Not sure I would be interested in even trying............ what if you get one activated and the the hole gets plugged again and your stuck with a $400 device you cant use on your account?? Personally I feel like I dodged a bullet with that one.

There has been a memo sent out where Verizon will take the Alltel (ONLY Alltel) phone and replace it with the closest sibling thats Verizon branded. Ask beforehand and be escalated to a dedicated tech (one assigned to you) to smooth the ride.
