Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
I'm flashing now...I've been out of the loop with ROM's lately so I didn't know Mike put out a 6.5 ROM.
I have never run 6.5 so we'll see how it goes. I know there were some bugs with previous builds of 6.5 that chefs had put out, so I'm a little weary going in. I love bleeding edge technology though so we'll see ![]() |

As far as programs, yes, I could have snagged everything in cab form, but after several soft resets and a couple of hard resets on Copper, I decided that it wasn't anything that was going to be easily remedied for me. There were also a few other little things that I missed, but nothing substantial -- and, as you mentioned, things that could have most likely been achieved with some programs, but I didn't want to take the time to set all of that up when signal/connection issues were already sort of a deal-breaker. |

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
Good thing we are back on topic. I for one, agree 100% percent with having sub-topics on comparing MR 4.16 and Copper. No need to see whiney-girly comments on XP vs Vista or calling people idiots for OS preferences. It keeps the main Copper thread from filling up with senseless trash...
With that said, I had a tough time familiarizing myself with 6.5. We all have been spoiled with the stability and reliable cabs available for MightyROM4.16. But it was very clear when Copper was released, of being a very lite ROM, with just the basics. Its makes for a very costumizable ROM. Obviously wm6.5 is the direction Microsoft is gonna take. Although, there are more functional ROMS with tons of apps already cooked in for wm6.1. This gives me the chance to learn the new GUI and complete setup. Like someone already mentioned, most of the basic cabs are available, but some are still are on trial n error status. So either jump on the wagon now and figure out the kinks. Or sit back with 4.16 and wait for MightyROM5.
