Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
Copper is one huge 6.5 preview. It is an effort from two big name rom chefs. It is not the first 6.5 release, and it sure won't be the last. That's all it is.
Was it impressive enough to get people to give up the brand name 6.1 rom they were on or was it not? People who jumped to it may or may not have read correctly that it is a one-time release of a barebones rom. There will be no updates to Copper. It's just a taste of what is to come in 6.5 roms from MM and Juicy, who have come to the decision that it is time to move forward and are inviting people to let go of 6.1 too. |

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
Copper was faster, better than TF3D (IMHO) and worth the upgrade from Mighty 4.16 !

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
I just flashed my TP from JMZ's 1.8 Rhodium ROM to Copper and checked it out and now I am flashing back to JMZ 1.8
I am not very fond of the interface, and it actually feels slower than JMZ's rom.

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
I agree....I made the jump from mighty's 4.15 and I'm really digging wm 6.5...I actually like the new interface a lot more than the touchflo interface...wm 6.5 is a lot more finger friendly and very easy to use one handed...I love the new program menu too...everything is big and easy to scroll through and select what you need with your fingers...only downside to me is the top-left start button, but it's always been like that...I guess I can map it to a panel for easier selection...I think I'm going to stick with wm 6.5 for now on until the Topaz TP2 manila gets released and finalized for the TP...At that point, I might use Secondtoday and use both...

The first thing negative I heared about this ROM, you cannot play videos, that just did not sound right to me... I'm playing lots of videos and not even using my new super duper YouTube app or the ActiveX controls, people ought to stop their lying.. The first thing they will say, the ROM has a bugs, simply because they don't know how to do a certain thing within the parameter ROM settings.....{LOL}
![]() ![]() ![]() If you are looking for the the best stock YouTube video player to use on the Copper ROM go to post #2, for the "YouTube Tech1 21XXX TP2 7HDBR " video player here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=5920 ..... The {WVD} works like a charm on the Copper ROM, but you will need my TCPMP 5HDBR TP2 Tech1 VP6 FlV4 video player set up located in post #3 The SlingBox also works like a charm on the Copper ROM...... ![]() |

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
I too decided to make the switch from MightyROM 4.16 to Copper. And I must say a hearty goodbye to Windows Mobile 6.1. I will not be going back.
When I had my Titan I loved DCD's Clean ROMs. I have multiple files I've downloaded over the years to make the ROM to my liking. Now I'm given an opportunity to do it again with a very well put together ROM. I'm still playing with it but haven't come across any real problems with it. When Mighty Mike or Juicy47 present their next 6.5 ROMs to us I'll be sure to try them out. But as for WM 6.1? That just went the way of 6.0! Now on to 7!

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
My first flash ever was to Mightyrom 4.12 and i loved it. Then decided to try Copper and I really didnt enjoy copper that much. i didnt like the interface. So i figured since im already out trying new roms why not try juicy since it seemed pretty popular. So far love juicy6. Very fast and pratical for what i use it for, a few bugs tho. Im just waiting for Mightyrom5

Re: Who made the change from MIGHTY 4.16 to Copper
Not sure you should be speaking for them - especially stating things like letting go of 6.1 and moving to a mobile OS that is not even out yet? That's completely ridiculous! While I thought Copper was nice - I really count on pretty much all aspects of my phone to work all the time. And some of the experiences I had with Copper in the short time I flashed to it - was jut not worth it at this time. Obviously, YMMV...
