Touch Pro quirks or can it be fixed?

OK I have searched and I found many answers to my questions However there are two questions I cant figure out.

First, my on screen keyboard pops up when I click to few a text. I mean it views the text but the keyboard pops up at the same time. How do I change that? I only want it to pop up if I click the icon.

Second, when I send a text I get a pop up box saying "your message was sent" or something like that. How do I dissable that? Seriously HTC do we need to know our message was sent? How about you just tell us when there is a problem with sending it so we can try again damnit. My mogul never told me the message was sent it just appeared in the threaded text.
