Yeah, but as mentioned in that thread you will basically have a static version of Epocrates, with no updating. I do the CME and read DocAlerts, so that wouldn't work for me. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out something to make it work, but with no success. Anyhow, I use SPB Mobile Shell so the 6.5 versus 6.1 ROM really makes little difference to me; it's almost like having a different operating system anyways. Only disadvantage with Mobile Shell 3.0 is the batter life is not so good.

Re: Anyone using ePocrates on Touch Pro without problems?

taruky, the solution is to contact ePocrates support the moment a device is officially released in the US with WM 6.5 and start pushing for an update. My experience is that they are pretty responsive in this regard. I asked them about 6.5 support a week ago and they said they were unaware that any such devices were officially available. The more users they hear from, the greater a priority this will be.

I AutoUpdate daily at 0500, both for the reasons you give (MobileCME and DocAlerts) and because I like being assured of the most up-to-date drug databases. Thus, for now it's 6.1 for me.

Re: Anyone using ePocrates on Touch Pro without problems?

I am back to 6.1 because I hate the start menu. I was wondering, has anyone tried using the desktop installation and activesync to update the databases? That may be a way of patching it until 6.5 officially gets released.

Srudentjunk, it doesn't work, unfortunately. Tried it a while back.

Re: Anyone using ePocrates on Touch Pro without problems?

Just found another issue.
I was flashing the TP2 Roms and it seems that rhodium messes up my Epocrates coder as well. It used to give me options to seek by code or category and now only searches by category.
Strange.

I am hoping the release of the TP2 will get enough people to report bugs to Epocrates to get a fix. Meanwhile, back to the stock Rom for me.

I found this on the Epocrates site:

http://epocrates1.custhelp.com/cgi-b...03&p_topview=1

Hopefully, they will get a fix soon, until then- no WM6.5 Roms for me.

Re: Anyone using ePocrates on Touch Pro without problems?

I emailed tech support. They plan on supporting 6.5 once it is officially released. I of course have no idea when that is. I also think it may have worked on some of the newer 6.5 ROMs, but I am not sure if I am just remembering it wrong. I hate the 6.5 start menu and the scrolling, so I have been staying away from it.

Re: Anyone using ePocrates on Touch Pro without problems?

Hey, just a quick update to this problem-

I just tried my first 6.5 ROM via Juicy 8 and it actually updated wirelessly!

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=58002

I just played with it for a few hours but this was the first thing I did and so far so good!

Give it a try and see if it works for you guys.

I use 6.1. I did notice there was a software upgrade with a recent sync.
