Re: Best IM program for TP?
I've been using Fring for quite a while now and have been very happy with it. Yes, it uses more resources than palringo, but it's actually a VOIP client first that just happens to have a very good multi-protocol im client built in. The VOIP is skype compatible and works ok, but I mostly use it as an im client. They've also built in an add-on structure that supports stuff like facebook, twitter, etc. The WM version is a bit slow to get new updates, but it is very usable. Oh, and free is good...

Re: Best IM program for TP?
There is actually an AIM 6 client for PPC, but it is pretty resource-intensive. Agile Messenger is also good, but not free

Re: Best IM program for TP?
palringo for best battery life.
I wish it had a 'accept new messages from contacts only' option though |
Re: Best IM program for TP?
Palringo is the best for battery life for sure, for GUI Beejive. Beejive has the audium or osx look to it, very nice.

Re: Best IM program for TP?
:headbang:IM+ for me. It works wonders. Just keep it in the exclusive program list so you dont accidently close it out with all the other stuff when you go to purge unnessesary programs from running.
Chat with award-winning IM+® within AIM®/iChat, MSN®/Windows Live™ Messenger, Yahoo!®, ICQ®, Jabber® Google™ Talk and MySpaceIM regardless of location and mobile operator. Lifetime License, all updates and support included. |
