TP for Verizon

Is there anyway for me to get a Touch Pro from a carrier other then Verizon and then hook it up to Verizon? Like say I was to buy an Alltel TP could I program that to run on a Verizon plan?

If you get an Alltel phone, you'll have to wait until the merger goes through completely. From what I've heard, date is May 5th.

If you buy another carriers, good luck! Check out the few Sprint to Verizon threads here to see why. Best to just get the Verizon TP than go through the headaches.

I'm a secondary account on a family plan and I am at the 20 month upgrade, would it be cheapest to buy the phone with my upgrade or another way?

Buy the phone off eBay, you can get a Verizon TP for $250-350, contract price (even with discounts and whatnot) come to $319 at the cheapest, thats WITH a contract extension.

Be free! Buy your phone, don't get a subsidized one which locks you in.
