Absolutely Must Have Programs?

I thought it would be nice and handy to have a list of Must Have Programs, or ones you really can't live without.

1. Try to keep it to one or two programs that you can't live without,
2. Please write a SHORT reason why you feel this way
3. If possible, either leave a link to the program, or to a thread with it.
4. No ROM's, those are fairly personal and people should check out entire threads before jumping.
4. If it is a visual enhancement, please show a screen capture or link.

I will start,

Smart Phone Tracker- send a text to your phone and it will email back the phones location via gps. handy if you lose the phone and are trying to find it.

Advanced Configuration Tool- Lets you get in and tweak many settings you can't do without a program like this. Much simpler and cleaner than digging through the registry yourself.

Palringo from www.palringo.com. Allows me to stay in touch with my friends on the various messenger services.

TCPMP/Coreplayer (Video/Music/Media Player) and Google Maps are among the top two programs I'd install no matter what. PocketShield (hxxp://pocketshield.netserver01.com/) is a commercial program, but a fantastic slide to unlock type program that works very unintrusively, if that's a word. Those 3 programs I'd recommend to anyone, no matter what their phone habits are.

WMWifiRouter is a nifty program too, that lets you broadcast your 3G data over wireless and can let your laptop get wireless data on the go.

If you have the stock Sprint ROM, you should look into the Sprint cleanup cab as well. It made my stock ROM way snappy and was on-par with the faster custom ROMs.

Must have. Gosh, have you considered what you want to accomplish with the device? That is the approach I have used for bunches of years.

Well, to be honest it wasn't so much what I want to do, as much as it is "what CAN I do?"

This is my first WM phone, so i am (and others) are pretty clueless to what is possible on these phones. This post helps people find handy programs that they might not ever know about without it.

Much like the smartphone tracker, I love Sprite Terminator. Not free, it will set you back $14.95, but it gives you the ability to remotely lock the device, view call history for the last 10 calls, location, and the ability to perform a hard reset if you have sensitive information on your phone. Plus, I like to screw with my wife and lock her phone remotely!

2. S2U2 - Slide to Unlock program with many great features

Both are programs I have come to rely on, great at what they do, and free!
