Alltel Touch Pro Internet Sharing

I have done alot of searching and seen everything from its free and covered under the data plan to its $10 its $30...etc. Can someone clear it up for me. If i use the internet sharing on my Alltel touch pro am I going to be charged to surf on my laptop? Or do I need to use PDAnet or somthing to mask it? Thanks for your help I know I am probaly way behind in all the things I can do with this phone.

it is suppose to cost extra. it was an extra 10 now i believe it is an extra 30. i have been using wmwifi router for over a year and have never been charged extra. pdanet, registry edits, and wmwifi router all hide that you are tethering. alltel is my carrier also.

Thanks for the reply I want to use it with the USB cord so that it does not kill the battery. does anyone know how to edit the registry and be able to explain it in a way that even a non guru can understand? Thanks
