Re: hardware keyboard issue photo essay a.k.a. i was bored
This is an incredibly informative and interesting thread. My tp's only 2 months of use on it and I baby the crap outta it but I'm a tad concerned re: the kb issue. I had a gsm tp previously for several months and never had the kb issue. Not ready to fork over $599+tax for a tp2, so...fingers crossed.

It depends. Some people's keyboards haven't gone out after the fix, others have had it go out within weeks. If the connector has lost its ability to snap into place, chances are you might have to do the fix again. I believe one of the members managed to put electrical tape over the connector to prevent it from disconnecting again, though.

It seems like several people have taken it into the stores and they've replaced the keyboards for them. The stores around here are clueless though. Guess it depends on where you live.

Re: hardware keyboard issue photo essay a.k.a. i was bored
I am having a bad time trying to see the pics of the fix, it seems that the server that was hosting the pics is down, could somebody post them again. I have a TP with a dead keayboard here in Mexico and i can't send the phone for a warranty exchange so my chances are pretty much fixing it myself.
Thanks in advance for your help. |
