Re: Save the location i parked @ using GPS???

There have been bunches of times I have set my parking location in Google Maps. Comes in handy when visiting multiple locations and especially so at the end of a long work day.

Re: Save the location i parked @ using GPS???

Here is another app, just for this purpose.

This version isn't as sexy as the iPhone app(Dude, where's my car?"), but it's free, and you can store up to 3 different locations and even name them if you'd like. When you want to locate one, you just click the respective Find button and you will be provided a compass direction (N, NW, S, SW, E, SE, W, NE) and approximate distance to your destination which will change as you continue to move.

It would be nice to have this feature built into Live or Google. Or someone could write a program to thats saves your location that opens google maps and shows the arial photo of that location with the directions and current gps position.

Someone asked in the Off Topic forum how you get reputation...

That's EXACTLY how you get it!

Re: Save the location i parked @ using GPS???

Lol.. this program sure would have been handy last month in DC, when I parked on B st. and 4th ave, and walked to the capitol.... When I came out, I didn't remember which quadrant I was in, so I ended up walking about 2 miles checking each quadrant to find it...

Tried this and it just errors out. I have Net 3.5, and many GPS apps that work fine, but this one doesn't work for me. I thought the 3 locations were cool, would be nice if it worked.
