Re: DivxRipPimps List of Roms (Updated April 2nd @ 2 PM)

Excellent thread!

While reviewing ROMs could you check which ones have the dreaded text messaging bug? It's the one where when you have a conversation in a threaded window then come back out it will show you didn't read like 4 or 5 messages in that window you were just in. So you have to click in and out of the threaded window once for each message. Gets annoying.

Re: DivxRipPimps List of Roms (Updated April 2nd @ 2 PM)

Another thing to look out for is the clock with TF3D2 - I haven't tried it a bout a week or so, but going to the world clock or setting my city in the weather tab would mess up my time zone setting (seemed to be off by one) and thus changed the clock by 1 hour. Really annoying.

Also, be sure to mention the build number used in the review (I see that you have it up in the summary) if it's a WM 6.5 ROM - some of the builds are downright awful (which if probably why you had some many issues with Hibby). I'd suggest you check out JD's next - the latest build of 6.5 is way better. Just give yourself time to get used to Titanium.

I will specify in each review IF that happens, belivce me, it annoys me... As does laggy keyboard... When i have time i will slowly organize the reviews better, but for now they are in brainstorm format, since im doing it every day... I try to include anything i notice, unless the rom is so bad that i dont wanna deal with even testing it...

2 suggestions

1) maybe ABC order will be better

2) Star Rom should be up there

Great Idea BTW.

Divxrippimps Ivan Rom Review

Ivans rom was pretty decent, it didnt have many extras or cool tweaks, but the TF3D worked well and had a few of the newer add-ons... The rom included some apps like PimBackup and SPBBackup. It ran smooth, I did have to reboot it a few times due to freezing while sleeping... The txt in the messaging app was only slightly laggy. Everything worked pretty well... It didnt feel like anything amazing, but i also had no issue with using it... The freezing was a little annoying, it happened about 3 times over 2 days usage... The locking app that is installed is pretty nice, but the way it works is odd, i didnt mess with it much...
I really dont have much else to say about this rom, so ill leave it at that with some screen shots...

Divxrippimps JDs Rom Review

the TF3D looks like it has the sprint theme on it still... it looks ok... its very responsive.
the programs folder uses that honeycomb thing, its pretty nice, but with a lot of apps it seems it would take forever to go thru them... if they were well sorted into folders it would be really nice, as the touch scrolling in it is very smooth.
the rom over all is very quick and feels good, not much lag.

the keyboard lags just slightly in the messaging app, and lags hardcore with t9 on... its not bad when being used outside the messaging app tho...
windows folder loads in 4 seconds
youtube plays perfect

The rom works pretty well overall... Not much makes it stand out...
It was the fastest windows 6.5 rom iv used so far...
