I agree the IT department shouldn't be using self-signed SSL certs in production, but don't quote SSL prices.

The "basic" SSL cert is only $30, but that cert isn't support on Exchange 2007 or 2010. Exchange 2007 or newer needs "UCC" (In SSL Speak SAN (Subject Alternative Name) certs) and those certs cost a lot more than basic certs.

If the above doesn't work, you can try deleting the connection by going to start, programs, activesync, menu, options, select microsoft exchange, and press delete.

Then redo the connection. Sometimes it just needs a reset to get it all working right.

The exchange server settings should be very similar for blackberry as they are for WM. If they say otherwise then they are just being lazy and are probably not worth your time. My tech guys wouldn't help me set up anyphone, so I grabbed the settings from the exchange outlook email settings. They are the same in all cases, this doesn't mean they are easy in all cases.
Direct Push is on!
I've done the deleting of the exchange before and when I reinstall it I can get my emails and contacts but it doesn't stay sync'd to send or recieve emails.
How do you grab the settings from the exchange outlook email settings?

From researching, it sounds like our IT department needs to buy a certificate for my phone??? I dunno.
