LOL, Horse crap. Around here sprint kicks Verizon's butt in both data and voice. When Verizon screwed me out of hundreds of dollars I switched over to sprint and at the time Verizon didn't even have broadband in my rural area but sprint did. I have far fewer dropped calls now and I have been saving a boat load of money. |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
I just recently, made the switch from verizon to sprint, for the sole reason that I wanted the touch pro, and the verizon version was ugly as hell and crippled....and so far I am completely happy with the Service and Network...No dropped calls at all, so far!
I think there should be a law put into place that says, cellular companies should not be allowed to "Force" you to buy there equipment if you already own a device that will work on their network....What if Your home telephone company was allowed to do the same! You would have to buy all new phones for your home? That would be rediculous right? Well, what is the difference? Why should cellular companies be allowed to do this? I bought the Sprint TP figuring that if I was not happy with Sprint's service, I could always activate my phone back on verizons network...Well guess what Verizon....You just screwed yourself out of a potentual return customer! And they wonder why there is a need for "Hacks & Cracks" 0Gravity Last edited by 0Gravity; 03-21-2009 at 03:01 PM. |

Remember Bell/ATT? Yeah...same ****, different face. Not too long ago you were REQUIRED to use the phones that Bell/ATT provided you, nothing else. It's the reason the antitrust/anti-competition lawsuit happened and now we can use whatever damn phone we want as a landline. It's just a matter of time...

Me too...I love me some Sprint. I have been on VZW before...and I would NEVER go back...I think they suck. I dont find their service superior to Sprints at all...I have had much better luck with Sprint.
Long live Sprint!

both my touch pros (one hot one spare) are both flashed verizon. Not about to attempt to switch back and forth though to see if it works.

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
I don't know why people insist on posting post after post after post about how Sprint is cheaper. There has never been any argument about that. If Sprint charged what they do & had service/coverage that was equal (or even close) to what VZ provides, nobody would ever sign up for Verizon again.
That is not the case however, I have had both services & I can truthfully say this is a perfect case of "you get what you pay for". We have a corporate account through where I work & we could switch tomorrow to any service available if we wanted to. I work in IT & I get a lot of the calls transferred to me from our people in the field when they are *****!ing/complaining about cell service problems. Last years, we swapped almost 80 phones from Sprint to VZ service (& it certainly wasn't to save money). Complaint calls on the cell service has dropped probably 95% since the change (I don't think I field two calls a month at this point, when we had Sprint service we darn near had to assign a person full time to this type of cr@p) We where CONSTANTLY smoothing over problems where a corporate customer was justifiably upset because they didn't receive a timely response to an SMS that either never arrived at all or was 8 hours late because Sprint couldn't deliver it in a timely manner. ~John |
