Re: Arcsoft MMS 5.0.82.79 From Sprint With Threading MMS

Hey guys I posted this in the Diamond forum of this thread. If anyone uses this registry edit can you please report back if it helps/hurts anything? I want to see if my results are consistent. Thanks.

HKLM/Software/Arcsoft/Arcsoft MMS UA/Config/mm1/WspHeader/

Values 'User-Agent' and 'x-wap-profile'

Thanks for the info. When I first installed this, I sent some test pics to myself from my other phone. Receiving messages were delayed from 5-8 minutes. After changing these values messages would be received within 30 seconds - 2 minutes. I wanted to know if it was becuase of the registry changes or because the server was busy earlier. I'm guessing the latter. Thanks again.

Have you looked into Smms settings with a mogul to see what settings he has to intercept pictures with his software? I would like to see what he did and try and replicate that with Arcsoft. It would be nice to see it working 100% with a mogul.

I can't test today anymore, my friend with his mogul phone left and he is not coming back till later next week.

If anyone wants to try this it would be a great asset.

Re: Arcsoft MMS 5.0.82.79 From Sprint With Threading MMS

I was able to receive MMS fine until I installed the arcsoft generic cab... this happened to me on the previous version of arcsoft also (version 5.0.70.24) when I installed the generic icons cab... is anyone else having this issue?

Maybe try installing arcsoft then make a copy of the registry and when you run the generic cab restore it just in case it made any changers to the registry.

Do you know where in the registry I would look for the changes?

Yes I actually believe that I ran into this issue as well. I tested send/receive with the original icons and all was fine, but when I installed the generic cab it turns out that I was only able to send and not able to receive. I will uninstall/reinstall tomorrow to see what happens. Wish it would have worked with generic as the icons look better on my screen, oh well.

I don't understand how it would break it... It only replaces the DLL that has the graphics, and no registry settings. It is from the 5.0.69.44 Arcsoft as that is the only VGA arcsoft I have had my hands on.

So I took the file MMSRes_320x320.dll on my phone and renamed it to MMSRes_480x640.dll, and it worked just fine. So I remade the cab for it and replaced it in Post 1. Here it is, so you dosn't have to go back to it. Arcsoft Generic Icons-new.cab. It isn't VGA, but the phone sizes them to work.

Thanks, this seems to work really well so far. I also like that you included the generic icons. It looks great with Mightyrom, I am using 4.12. You have been Thanked
