HTC Touch Pro Keyboard not working

Sounds like that's a hardware problem. Did you try to flash back to the original shipped rom? Also, I thought all touch pro's had a one year manufacturer's warranty.

I didn't buy it from the sprint store. But he can I take advantage of this 1 year warrenty

Good question. You can probably only use the warranty through an authorized reseller. I don't know anything about cricket. I don't know where you bought it or what version touch pro you have. Is it sprint, alltel, verizon, telus?

Exact same prob here. Brought it to an authorized sprint repair center, they ordered me a new one. Kinda lucked out i guess... the newer sprint touch pros have a better build quality. Better slider, brighter hard keyboard, and flush buttons on the front of the phone... And I don't have that nasty ding on the corner of my chrome from when i dropped it

He's not with sprint though, so I don't think he'll be able to bring it to a repair center.

EditQuoteReplyHmmm. Ive had the issue since maybe early feb. Thought it was just my device b/c noone mentioned it in any of the forums. Long story short id have to do the battery trick and keep pressing the sleep button over and over for the keyboard to start working. Sprint wouldnt replace it at first cuz everytime id bring it to the store the keyboard would conveniently start working after they hard reset the device. Im thinking it could be an issue with having freeware and it could be one of the applications b/c my new one jus did it this morning. It eventually gets worse and worse until the keyboard stops responding all together. So are there any cabs to download that resolve the letters repppppppeating or the keyboard not working at all like they did with the mogul?

same thing is happening to me....i thought i got an upgrade going from the mogul to the TP...i was VERY wrong

it seems that ONLY sprint users have problems with the keyboard

I haven't seen anyone report this issue with a VZW Touch pro... hmmm...

kinda makes me glad they stuck that stupid arrow up key in between the m and n

i would say the EXACT SAME THINGs u said in this post...mine died on sat, they replaced on mon....i had a ding or two...this phone is much better than my old TP...problem is, i cant get the volume to where it needs to be....I CAN BARELY HEAR MY CALLERS!

i didnt buy the phone fron a sprint retailer but i do have the TEP, what are my options?
