Re: How EXACTLY Do You Use 'TVersity' On An HTC Touch Pro??
K man, going to make this short and sweet for ya... don't bother. Between firewalls and junk it was IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO FIGURE IT OUT... i have 5 rep but i'm pretty computer savvy. Go download orb... you connect to your computer through an online interface and it's a sick setup. After you download orb all you ahve to do is direct your web browser to mycast.orb.com or something along those lines, log in, and wala. You are set to go. This is assuming you have the Web Video Downloader, just make sure to go into your settings and set it up so it opens as the type of file you want it to.
*EDIT* didn't read your full post just heading. Orb works man, trust me I KNOW this... make it stream as a different kind of files NOT A WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER FILE THIS IS A TERRIBLE THING TO STREAM AS AND WILL GO SLOW AND INNEFFECTIVE. Took me a long time to figure that out. Choose one of the 3gp options, those make it nice if you are using Web Video Player. That's my best advice. Hit thanks if i helped. |

Re: How EXACTLY Do You Use 'TVersity' On An HTC Touch Pro??
Try having TVersity encode the video into 640x480 or lower in either AVC with AAC or Windows Media Video Advanced Profile (VC1) with a low-bitrate WMA profile stream.
I don't believe MP3 is accelerated on our phones, but oddly enough, WMA and AAC are. 3GP encompasses some of these encodings. Try to make the bitrate of the video as low as possible while keeping an acceptable visual quality (that's up to you) under 30 FPS. Also, on windows media player in our phone, the properties should have a connection speed setting, try setting that lower to increase caching and reduce pausing of video due to the shortcomings of the bandwidth of a cellular connection. |

Re: How EXACTLY Do You Use 'TVersity' On An HTC Touch Pro??
Guys,
I have put together a tutorial for TVersity and the HTC Touch Pro: http://www.techhackz.com/2009/07/stream-movies-and-music-to-your-cell.html I also have other tutorials for the Wii and the Xbox 360. I hope this helps. -djoudjou
