Search Help, Changing function of TF3D Tabs

I appoligize for this if it has been covered before, I tried some search terms but I couldnt find much concerning what I'm looking for.

I see that there has been a little work on customizing WHAT a TF3D tab does, but quite a bit of work on HOW it does it. Basically, programming manila, the "what" in a tab, as opposed to "how" in tweaks and ports (not to minimize all the hard work that others have put into all the awesome TF3D work). I did find a thread where somebody had programmed a TF3D calandar, but that was about it, and it didnt seem like much else has been done, at least not that I could find.

For example:
Instead of a Sprint TV tab, I would like an "Automotive" tab that leverages a program and displays the data in TF3D. Or maybe a "G-Tab" tab that displays G-Sensor data, or a "Home Automation" tab that quickly allows you to run home automation routines, all without running a specific app, but instead in the finger friendly quickly accessed and dismissed world of TF3D.

This has been something I have wondered since I first saw TF3D, and something that I have looked into frequently with little results. It is something that would make a SIGNIFICANT difference in my decision to purchase a TP when the time comes.

BTW, it seems to me that TF3D tabs are not actually applications, per se, but more of visuilazitions of data within the system, displaying emails from poutlook's storage folder, visualizing photos from the storage card, etc, with some basic commands that leverage the inherient capability of the TP, but not creating new capabilities. Maybe that is wrong, but it is how it seems to me, and it maybe explains why I am not finding what I am looking for.
