Touch Pro -- "Enable Cleartype" checkbox greyed/faded out!

not sure why this happened, but I can not enable cleartype and would really like to! thanks for the help

More info custom or stock Rom? You should update your profile, phone and carrier.

How about tweaks-hacks?
Settings>System>Screen>Clear TYpe.

Is your keyboard open when you try to change the setting? It'll be greyed out if your screen is in landscape.

If all else fails, backup your data then hard reset your phone. That's what I would do LOL. If it still doesn't work, try using a custom ROM.

no tweak hacks installed -- i tried resetting to factory specs, and its fine for awhile, then it randomly happens again!

I can enable cleartype on portrait view, but as soon as I flip the keyboard open to landscape view, it unchecks the cleartype option and greys it out.

I had something like this happen back when I was on the 2.01 rom I just usually soft reseted it then i was able to enable cleartype again
