HTC Touch Pro Reception Problem Help!!!

I recently have purchased this phone and calls cant come through or texts come in too late. Though my friend's spring rant recieves calls instantly at the same spot where i cant. Would not having a data plan be a factor here on my phone's signal preformance? I have taken it to sprint and they say everything is fine, they are diagnostics and everything. So basically is there any settings that i can tamper or change to maybe help get the calls or would i signal booster sticker work? would anything help? should i move on to a diffrent phone? please help i dont want to switch to abasic phone but if everything fails i guess ill have to get something else.

i cant exactly give you a definition of a radio but all i can say is flash to the TELUS radio and you will see a huge difference in your signal strength..ive been using it for a while now and i never drop a call...
