cannot create new email account

i had setup my yahoo account when i first got my tp. i tried setting up a new different account now and it wont take me to the new account screen. i select create new account in 3 places ans none of them did anything. dont know i installed that caused this, thought it might be arcsoft MMS. uninstalled it but same results. i deleted my yahoo account thinking there is a limit of one account but still nothing. i would settle getting that account back.

Did you mess with any of the reg settings on accident? I am sure there is an easy fix but I cannot recall of the top of my head which one disables new accounts. You might just do a hard reset.

Hard resets aren't so bad as long as you back your stuff up.

i would still like to know why this happened so it won't happen again. is it a known issue with arcsoft that i cannot avoid?

So yes, i found out that Arcsoft was the issue.

I AM ABLE TO CREATE NEW EMAIL ACCOUNTS WITHOUT HARD RESET!!

So this is what I did:
1. Uninstalled arcsoft 5.0.69.44 then soft reset
2. Go to this thread and get the file Arcsoft Sprint MMS 5.0.69.44-remove reg.cab and install it. It supposedly removes any reg entries that 5.0.69.44 installed that is normally not removed during uninstall.

3. Soft reset again.
4. Installed Arcosft Sprint MMS 5.0.69.44-full.cab from this thread:

One interesting note, after step 3 above I tried creating new email account and still couldn't. Only after step 4, was i able to.

This worked for me on my sprint touch pro, which was having the same problem. thanks so much.

I am glad it helped somebody else also. I wish we can really pinpoint the problem, but this works so I am happy. Surprised others haven't tried this, but most probably just did a hard reset. I for one only hard reset if it is the last resort.
