i viewed it as rather 'different'. similiar to switching from a lamborghini to a ford contour. reasons can be found as to why...like more ashtrays, better handling etc. but would still be an odd switch in most peoples eyes, in my opinion.

A WM Phone is a Lamborghini? I wasn't aware that Lamborghini's required a custom engine to improve out of the factory performance, as well as a body kit to improve the look? Don't get me wrong, I'm hooked on WM phones, but let's be realistic.

It amazes me how insecure people are when someone doesn't share their opinion on a product. If the OP isn't satisfied with his Pro, who cares if he wants to try a Blackberry? If you like your Pro, great. If you hate Blackberries, great. If the OP wants to try out something new to see if it works better for him, that's great too. I don't know about you all, but I don't have my phone so I can overcompensate for my insecurities and try to prove to everyone else who has a phone that mine is better than theirs. I have it because it does what I need it to do, period. I couldn't care less what anyone else says about it.

5) It is hghly probable and possible the OP got a bad phone 2x in a row and is not a total MORON. Give it a shot...or look like a total moron.

if u had to pick one pda phone out of the bunch to be the lamborghini....which would it be?? none of them are perfect...but imo, one is light years more superior than the others.

is the iphone the lamborghini? is the blackberry? is the G1?....i think not.

I personally find the crackberry more of a social status symbol. A sign to show your friends that you have a job with some semi-important company. Personally I find the blackberries to be unorganized, clunky, and very un-customizable... Therefore you have no choice to put up with the devices quirkieness. At least a winmo phone you can "fix" the issues your having 99% of the time.

I have a BlackBerry and a TP. Each has it's own pros and cons. I don't know if I'll ever get down to just one phone. I will say this, though; the BB is my go to tool. Email, text, BB messenger, battery life, it just shines. But it (Pearl) sucks for browsing. When Sprint finally gets the Niagara, I think I'll be better poised to compare apples to apples, but it seems that RIM just isn't concerned with building a top notch browser. I can't say I blame them, though, as what they have built is a fully functional business tool, that seems to assume that the user has a laptop over his shoulder should he need to get on the errornet...
