Re: help with unlocking phone!
No problem. The thanks are much appreciated.
Did all work well with your phone? Were you able to install a different ROM?

Re: help with unlocking phone!
im at school right now but as soon as i get home im gonna flash it. i downloaded mighty's 4.12 standard rom this morning so when i get home everything will be ready. only thing i need to do is put my new contacts into my old phone so i have everyone. i need to take the sd card out before i flash right? or else it will delete everything on it because of the hard reset?

Re: help with unlocking phone!
you dont have to remove the storage card when you flash. flashing only affects the phone memory.

Re: help with unlocking phone!
I am glad we were able to help.
You might want to try Scott's ROM as well. I use it and think it is the best mix of speed and free memory. Regardless, welcome to the world of phone flashing. It never ends and is always fun! |

Either way I get to the progress bar and it stays at 0% and the PC gives me a communication error. Then I go thru the recovery process and I am back to the beginning. I am using the Raphael_VZW_HSPL_035.exe, I do have NetFramework installed on the PC. (Wait I just found the VZW_TP_SSPL-Manual.exe and used it and it worked just like a regular reset into bootloader. So that problem is solved.) Other problem of 0% is still there though. Why put the phone in bootloader mode if the instructions on the RUU tell you to place into a connection using Active Sync? |
