What is the easiest Way to Do free Tethering On My Touch Pro

Simple Instructions for Tethering Touch Pro on Sprint
1:Install the internet tethering hack http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...9&d=1221879604 (thanks Swartz! Makes it easy for us noobs)

2:Make sure you have window mobile device center installed(Vista) or activsync(XP) So your computer has the proper drivers http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

3:Connect the usb cable to your phone. Then connect to your pc.

4:Wait for your pc to recognize and install the drivers for your phone(automatic if you followed step 2) You should see a notifacation in bottom right corner of your pc.

5: Select internet sharing from the popup when you plug the cable in. Or goto StartMenu/programs/internet sharing. When it starts hit connect in the bottom left corner if it hasn't already.

Start up your favorite browser and enjoy

i vote for WMWifiRouter. i can plug it in to charge when i get home and use my laptop in one room or my desktop in the other rom. and my wife can use her laptop and when my son gets his netbook he can use it also. i got it set up where it's running after hitting three buttons:
1. wifi
2. WMWifiRouter
3. connect

Hmmm I use Wmwifirouter but I notice when I look at my detailed usage via Sprintpcs it does seem to reflect a much larger data usage than times whn I am not using the tethering through this, this is definitely the easiest way by far since there is nothing to connect as far as cables as long as you have wireless adapter on laptop or pc. But I am curious, has anyone else using this actually looked at their detailed data usage on the sprint site and compared it to see if they were actually picking up the usage via tehering? It appears to me that it does track it back to my account which on my mogul I do not recall it doing that. Can someone verify or explain in more detail how Sprint would or would not recognize this? I am in the field quite often for work and this is a very valuable toole when it comes to using Google Earth or apps like that that I use for work. I would really like to know the inside scoop before I leave it connected for an all day session. BTW , as far as operation , WMwifirouter works flawlessly with just a tap of the "connect" tab .Please PM me back on this subject if you have some verified hard onfo . I am extremely curious about the "free" tethering. Thanks

sprint always sees your usage. it just appears to be from your phone not another device. thats why people tell you to keep it in reason.

I was at my parents' house this past weekend, they're in a non-Sprint area so my phone was in 1x roaming, and I had the phone set to allow data-roaming. I used internetsharing (USB) to tether my laptop, but it was sooooooooooo freaking slow........any way to speed up the connection? I tried pdanet and the speed was worse.
