Sounds and Notifications for texts

Ok, so this has only started happening since yesterday. I might have hit something but i doubt it. I cant get my phone to vibrate or ring when i get a text message. I do have vibrate checked and even play sound. When i get a text though no alert works. Whats up?
(I get phone calls just fine)

Go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications make sure Programs and Notifications are checked.
