when you add a picture to a contact it saves another version(smaller) somewhere else on the phone. I'd like to find out where they are saved so i can back up these icons. the phone does this so that it doesn't have to load a large photo every time. and so that even if you delete your pictures which i have, your contacts will still have the mini photos.

thanks
If you BU your contacts with PIM BU it saves those mini pics along with the contact info.

When you restore the contacts, the pics will be there also.

Re: Touch Pro Backup Applications/Software

I use dashwire and pim but I have problems merging contacts with those.. When ever I restore Pim always either deletes whats on the phone or doesnt add all the numbers thats on a name.. The interface for selecting what you want it to do is bad.. If you press an option on a blank box a circle fills it, press it again and a check mark pops in.. which mark does does what. and I swear it seems like having the circle or check doesnt matter Im carrying around a phone thats not even on because pim sucks at merging.. I will just dl dashwires contacts onto a clean phone than make a seperate backup file since dash doesnt merge.. So I need to know--

How would I merge a few pim contact files??

Or what is a good backup utility preferably free that merges contacts easy??
