HTC releases update for Touch Pro

Here's what's fixed:

The display of TouchFLO 3D sometimes may appear cracked.
When taking a picture, the auto focus function may malfunction in some circumstances.
In some circumstances, the preview screen will become black after taking picture.
In some circumstances, the device may hang while loading TouchFLO 3D.
When hanging up a phone call, there may be a delay in the display response.

I'm surprised that nobody has posted this yet. It seems like the download isn't working. Did anybody get a chance to get this update before the problem?

I can't seem to enter a S/N that HTC will accept.

That is on the Worldwide section of HTC's web site. If you check for updates in the North America setion, there are none available.

Looks like no one posted anything because the update you referenced is for GSM models, which would FUBAR our CDMA versions all to hell.

Exactly. It says:

"The service is temporarily under maintenance and will be back shortly.
We apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused. Please try again later."

It's been like that all day.

I use nueROM-S 217 for Touch Pro and it's an excellent ROM. So far, I haven't found any issues with it. Perhaps you should try a custom ROM? Stock ROMs always suck anyway LOL

No problem, just trying to stop people from flashing the wrong rom on their phone and screwing it up.

Hey even though I am not a noob perse I am still a relatively light user of this site. No need to insult anyone. As for the update I too didn't realize that it was for European phones. I attempted to download it too the other night and got that same message about the S/N not being valid. I decided to come here to find out more info. I am glad I did. However, does anyone know when they will come out with a new update? I really want a fix for the hang up delay. That is an issue I face daily while using this phone. Sometimes it works fine I press end call and the call is ended and other times I have to soft reset the phone to get it to end the call.
