Re: Good 3.5mm adapter?

Seidio...I have an adapter that I used with my Mogul trusty lil thing. Not bulky like the one that's packaged.

I've got an extra that I didn't send back when I got a replacement. If you are needing one PM me your address and I'll mail it out tomorrow.

I use this one as well. I like it, but I think it's about $5 too much. Still, I've ordered 2.

I picked up 3 Touch Pros the day after they were released and 1 a week later and they all came with the adapter in the picture. You ought to pay a visit to the sprint store and ask for one, I am sure they have extras laying around.

Re: Good 3.5mm adapter?

If you are proficient with solder, you can attempt the mod that I did, it is pretty simple if you are able to solder. If not, its never too late to learn, and will only cost at most $40 to get a kit to start that can be used in the future to fix/mod otherthings in the future...

Anyways, my mod works fairly well and you can use any 3.5 mm jack headphones with the stock headphone set up and maintain a small microphone on it to answer calls as well, and have it still look sleek. Just be careful!

One extra note is that if you get the headphones with detachable cables extension cables it would help with the extra length of wire. I can make another one for you if you want, I have one extra pair that I haven't used yet.

That's exactly it. I use mid-end in-ear headphones (Sennheiser CX400) and noticed something "wrong" but couldn't place it. They're definitely switched - you're right - and even after switching them something still seems a bit off. It's not the kind of thing you'd notice in casual use, which is why there are so many good reviews - either that, or we're the only ones with faulty adapters.

On a strange related note, a family member got a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for a Samsung Rant, and it has the exact same issue. What's with these cheap adapters and swapped channels??

That sounds excellent. I'll have to look into it. I was thinking of buying a few OEM headsets and ripping them apart to do that myself, so thanks so much for getting to it first. If I have trouble I'll contact you.

Your ears are obviously far more superior to mine. It's definitely something I probably wouldn't have noticed if I weren't looking for it. If you ever find a working 3.5mm adapter I would sure like to know.
