Change Volume Indicator (system/ring)

Hi, n00b here......I've searched and have come up with nothing.
Anyone know if there's a .cab that would allow me to make the volume indicator less intrusive? It's really annoying to press the volume, either on purpose or on accident (which always happens), and have to wait or press the home button to return to the last screen I was on.

I see this problem along the lines of the dialer showing up (for 30 secs) after I hang up. I've seen that thread and no one seems to have an answer. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm not looking to get rid of the cool volume display completely. Just looking for a cab or something that'll make it, maybe smaller less obtrusive.
