Re: All-In-One Touch Pro Camera Hidden Mode Mod
Here I'll be posting all the raw reg entries and what they do.....


EDIT: In the meantime though, i'll post some basics of what the cab does.

Adds the following shooting modes:
-Burst
-Sports
-GPS
-Video Share


-Sets Burst and Sports mode to 3 MegaPixel

-Sets Panoramic mode to 7 MegaPixel

-Edits Video Frame rate for higher quality.

-Removes the use of the of the "DCMI\100MEDIA" directoiry when saving to the Storage Card.

-Allows save to "My Documents\My Pictures" on the Storage Card.

-Allows for "Default", "Date" & "Date & Time" prefixing of images when saving to the Storage Card.



.... and more, just wanted to get a basic description up.
I managed to delete my txt file detailing all the settings and description so I'll have to redo it... that took me forever to format it all nicey nice and stuff. Damn!



EDIT II: OK, this isn't what I had in mind, but like I said, I accidentally deleted my description file, so for all of you that want to see what's in this cab, this is for you...... until I remake one with all the descriptions anyway.

OK... this assumes you are comfortable in the reg, if so, try this:

On your storage card if it doesn't already exist, create:
My Documents\My Pictures

In the reg change the value (DWORD Data) of:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General
"EnableDCMI" from "1" to "0"

Now when you start the camera:
tap the screen -> tap the cog wheel -> tap advanced
on page 2 make sure "Storage" is set to "Storage Card"
on page 4 make sure "Prefix" is set to "Date & Time"

You may need to soft reset after the reg change... and as always PLEASE be sure to BACKUP your reg BEFORE you mod it!

That's actually the only one I was looking for when I ended up opening the can of worms that became all the other mods in the above cab! HA, Amazing what we find when we start pokin around abit!

BTW, the cab in this thread is nothing more than a bunch of reg edits... so if you back up your reg ahead of time, you can totally uninstall the cab and re-import your backed up reg settings... tada, back to stock!

Having said that, I'm totally the same way about blindly installing cabs... I usually just don't! But that's also why I posted the guts of the changes in the code box above.

Anyway... just an FYI to future readers more than anything.
