How do you remove email and text received notifications?

I like the bubble on the TF3D tab, I don't like the notifications (taskbar, popup thingy). Here's why:

1) I get an email on my phone and on my computer
2) I get a notification on my phone (THIS IS WHAT I WANT GONE)
3) I read the email on my computer, gmail knows it's been read
4) THE NOTIFICATION IS STILL ON MY PHONE EVEN THOUGH I'VE READ THE EMAIL

Even the Tf3D bubble will be gone next time it syncs, but the notification will still be there! This is stupid, and they give you the option in the settings to disable it, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. Hence the anger....

So you still get the notification even after following my steps of disabling the notification popup from Sounds & Notifications?

Yes, that is what he is saying. I get the notification as well even after following your instructions.

I don't know what to say then...I've got it disabled and I don't receive a notification. The only Notification I have set to popup is alarms.

Yeah this is annoying ... anyone know the settings to remove notifications (even if you have that option unchecked)

I am not using TouchFlo3D and that might be the problem. I have unchecked it from my Today Items menu. Now no matter what setting I put under sounds and notifications for texts/emails I still get notifications.

Are you referring to the options when setting up email asking if you delete to delete off of the server for emails. So if it shows 3 emails and you read them on your computer and delete, it changes to 0 for notifications. If so, I don't know of a way to make it work correctly. I have been looking into it myself.
