Point UI, any thoughts?
The Touch Pro and PointUI...
i installed a few days ago and although its missing a few essentials, like a built in music player or the ability to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit - its overall been a good experience... anyone have any thoughts, issues, concerns with this software? http://pointui.com/ |

It's still too early to tell if it's going to be any good. If it gets the a good level of user support like Manila 2D has, then it'll be pretty good in a few months.

Well that was quick, an add-on for PointUI is out.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=482440 It's a commmgr applet. Edit: another app called Big Clock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=482442 Last edited by Machinehead; 02-13-2009 at 01:05 PM. |

Re: Point UI, any thoughts?
I actually like it over most of the competition (SPB Mobile Shell, Touch Flo 3D). The animations are great and fluid with full skinning and applet support. The only gripe I have with it is the current applets. I wish the appointment app didn't show the weather as well and just showed appointments. Once skins and applets are developed for it I'm pretty sure I'll be turning back to it.
EDIT: Oh and the background scaling is non-existant, wish they would scale images atleast :/ |
