Re: **The Touch Pro Video Playback Bible**
The newest CP is nice (I have it too), but it will not play the h.264 files the way the cr@ppy WMP (or HTC Album) will.
The h.264 files I have encoded at 800kbps look like a slideshow in CorePlayer, they play perfectly in WMP. ~John |

Re: **The Touch Pro Video Playback Bible**
I am running mighty rom 4.10 (ran juicy's 4.7).
I run avi's of movies thru the encoder program posted on xda forums. I encode at 600 kb and video playback in WMP shows a subtle stutter during playback. Anyone else noticing this? Last edited by moovius; 02-21-2009 at 09:37 PM. |

I appreciate your comments, but I am aware of what works and doesn't on the Apache, I wasn't asking about the Apache. I was wondering whether any of you have tried WMV on the Touch Pro? And what results you got? FYI, Don't take my light post count around here as a guide to my skill level, I was moderating PPC stuff before ppcgeeks came on line. Thanks, Omni

Re: **The Touch Pro Video Playback Bible**
I have a video in .wmv (I'm sure it's .wmv, I made it) on my TP and the quality in HTC Album is, well, dismal. The FPS is oddly low and there are skips seriously often and sometimes it does nothing at all for a few seconds before jumping to another frame.

Re: **The Touch Pro Video Playback Bible**
ok so after reading most of the post here..what i've found to work best on MY touch pro is using CORE PLAYER and using total video converter (which can be d/loaded for free here)http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/M..._Download.html
and i convert my video files into h264 avi format and i have NEVER had a frame drop yet..that i've noticed and it compresses 300 mb tv showws down to 60-70 mb with out losing quality..ALSO mvk formatted movies will work also as for they too are compressed movie files |

Re: **The Touch Pro Video Playback Bible**
Hi,
I've played with both CorePlayer (which I tend to use to create small file sized avi's that play on my Touch Pro), and now WMP, because I would like to have higher quality vids that I can video out to my TV. It seems I can create high quality mp4's that run smoothly, but tend to stutter when I'm listening on my BT headset. Anyone have any advice on what the highest quality I should try to encode to mp4 and still be able to use BT for audio? Thanks! |
