Re: How Do I Turn Off The Light That Goes Around The D-pad
The battery life you would save is minuscule. Leaving the normal screen on for a minute would likely equal the LED circling around for a whole day, if not more.
Anyway the LED is circling because you have a missed call, text, new mail, etc as the others have said. If no notifications exist the ring will be dark. |

Re: How Do I Turn Off The Light That Goes Around The D-pad
Circling light means voicemail/missed call.
Two rapid full fircle means new message. Rapidly flashing full circle means incoming call. The LED on the left of the D-pad should also be flashing. fadeon/fadeoff means charging. |

Re: How Do I Turn Off The Light That Goes Around The D-pad
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I need to confirm that the LED is supposed to flash once every ten seconds when there are no notifications etc.? If it is supposed to do that is there a way to disable that but keep notification flashes?

Re: How Do I Turn Off The Light That Goes Around The D-pad
If you can still fine a copy of nueLED, it will turn off the charge indicator (fade on and off) and the Telephone On indicator (blink every 10 seconds) but has no effect on the missed call, incoming call, and message indicators.
