However my 1.2 version which is hailed by VZW users is still on my site. You can give that a try. It does support VZNavigator. Very fast but not quite as quick as my 1.5 ROM (which Doesnt have support).

If the SD Certs things work please let me know. IF they do work here is what will happen....

You will get in, start the app and it will tell you it cannot communicate with GPS. Thats my guess...... Let us know please!
I was wondering, what exactly did you build into your ROM that allowed for VZNav to work? I heard/read that the customizations/signatures are build into the VZW roms, so were you able to rip these out? Are they easily addable to another ROM?

I would love if it this information could be provided to Bitserv and the guys who are rolling Titan Reloaded (which is a continuation of your dev work). Titan Reloaded is a great ROM and would be even better if some VZW customers could have VZNav working in addition to our aGPS customizations. That is, unless enabling VZNav disables any other app from using the GPS which would be beyond EVIL.

Anyway, if this is possible, I'm sure there would be a lot of people who would appreciate including this!

It's not that I'm in love with VZNav or anything, but it was nice in that it had turn by turn and traffic avoidance... what is the intended app for the 1.5 ROM?
I agree with this. All the stock ROMs and their stock navigation programs included turn by turns (usually with correct pronounciations). After a lot of hard work, I've been able to enable voice prompts on my OnCourse Navigator, but it takes up quite some space, and ofcourse manual adding of maps need to be done. However, apparently stock NAVs could do it worldwide.

Do you by chance have a link to your 1.2 version? I'd love to try it.

Thanks,

Re: Anyone got the VZ Navigator CAB file???

I'm on a vx6800 Titan and running the latest dcd 4.1.2 rom with a 3.42.50 radio and verizon carrier cab loaded. I have unlocked and programmed, added HTC QuickGPS, verified my registry settings are pointed to the Verizon GPS IPs, and spent all day looking for GPS fixes. I can't get Google Maps to find a satellite, but all apps are aware of the GPS sitting on COM4. Location is On, hardware settings are correct, UGH!

So...I am thinking that perhaps I could go back to a VZ Navigator app and be ok, but when I tried the prior page's CAB, I got the trusted app message. I applied the sdkcert with no result and thereafter used the MS Security Configuration Manager to drop to a one-tier security auth. The VZ Navigator doesn't even launch now.

I tried calling Verizon and because my VZstart page doesn't come up with their custom MR1 icons anymore, I'm out of luck.

I'm traveling tomorrow. Any ideas?

Re: Anyone got the VZ Navigator CAB file???

I finally figured out how to add addresses and look up businesses on the web and synchronize them to my Navigator's "Favorites". If anyone is interested here is the link: http://my.telenav.com
