GPA Log, GPS Problem or Other?

After I got my TP, I came here to this forum. And I noticed the infamous GPS lag on my TP too, unfortunately.

I have Google map, TT7 and Garmin installed. all of the have 2-4 seconds lag. Lag in TT7 is the smallest as I saw. I did not measure. All numbers are subjective. Garmin is the worst. I used it one day and it reports "arrival" way after I actually p***** the destination.

Yesterday I did a test to see if I can get some really numbers. I designed the test this way: run TT7 on both my handhelp GPS and on TP and see how late the TP voice prompts come.

To my surprise, I did not notice the delay I expected. Both devices' voice came at EXACTLY the same time. Although I did see the arrow (representing my car's location) on my TP was behind.

I could not explain this result. I suspect that the lag is not caused by the GPS but the image/video rendering on a 640x480 device. After all the voice, which is less expensive to render, comes out right.
