Well my wife wakes me up in a panic saying that it's 7:22!! I was like yeah right my alarm hasn't even gone off yet... well sure enough her clock says 7:22. So I look at my phone and the first thing I notice is that the white LED's are completely off, even though it is sitting right on the charger. I took it off the charger and hit the power button to wake it up. I thought I was the victim of the Windows alarm bug... but the damn thing didn't even turn on. Pushed the soft reset button, nothing happened. Held the power button... nothing. After a couple tried of holding down the power button, it finally booted up.

How the h3ll did my phone completely shut itself off in the middle of the night?? I didn't have any programs running. The battery was fully charged, so I know it didn't run out of juice! Even when the phone is completely off it is still supposed to show the charging LED's. Has anyone else had something like this happen??
An old-fashioned alarm clock is fail-proof, unlike Windows Mobile 5/6/6.1/6.5. I experienced the same problem you have numerous times with each WM device I've owned.

Re: My Touch Pro made me 30 mins late to work this morning!!

ugh, I never trust my phone to wake up me. It's a crapshoot as to whether or not the alarm I've set in the morning will actually ring or not. I have no idea how an alarm system can be so badly implemented

Well I must have hit one of the volume up or down buttons on the side at one point of the day, cuz when I was on a call(work phone) with a client, my cell phone goes off. Now, my ringtones are usually hardcore or ridiculous songs so it was sorta embarassing when "WHO YOU F***ING NOW?!!?!" goes off in the middle of the office. LUCKILY my boss is on vacation this week cuz her cube is diagnol from me.
If you are in a professional environment then I would ditch those ringtones. No offense but it sounds like the high school phase never left.

Re: My Touch Pro made me 30 mins late to work this morning!!

I have a small lamp on a timer that lights about 2 min before I get up, the dogs do the rest. They see light and wake me to go out. the phone goes off as an extra not a primary.

Re: My Touch Pro made me 30 mins late to work this morning!!

I have had the same problem with the alarm not going off in the am as well. I too use a standard alarm clock with battery backup as my primary. This has happened to me as well on past PPC devices. I did however never experience this on any of the three blackberries that I have owned, or the iPhone. They were very reliable, however I enjoy windows mobile more as of current.

Re: My Touch Pro made me 30 mins late to work this morning!!

my TP would never wake me up by itself! i sleep like the dead. i have to be up by 630, so my stereo goes off on max volume at 615, followed by an alarm clock at 620, then another clock and my tp at 625. i use my tp cause i hammer clocks to stop them, but wouldnt be rough with my TP!
