It's MS Voice Command. Yeah it reads your incoming messages,calls, emails, and texts. It does a lot of other things too like launching programs. Look in the settings menu for Voice Command and open the program to set it up. It's fairly self explanitory but there is a help file there too.

The default setting for VC only automatically reads messages marked 'high priority' by the sender... Was by any chance the email that was sent marked high priority?

I always wanted to know how to make voice command say my emails/texts out loud. I could never figure out the command, and the MSVC website doesn't really talk about that feature in depth. Is it only available on bluetooth or something?
