Volume buttons dont work anymore
Ok, so when I woke up this morning my phone locked up and I had to soft reset it. when I got to work I tried to turn my volume down and the buttons on the side did nothing. I later found out that when I press the volume buttons when the phone is on it turns on the backlight. Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this? I haven't installed anything new in about a week

No idea. Your best bet is probably to backup and hard reset.
