Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

Thats too bad. I guess that makes sense though. I wish it wasn't like that, but it is. So I guess I am back to trying to find a decent dialer. PhonEx and Inesoft were ok, but I had problems with both. I wish there was a way to keep the touchflo dialer without the lag.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

i've been researching this myself and can't find any dialer out there to do this no the TP. It's not a SPRINT thing i don't believe, b/c when i had my blackberry on the Sprint network, i could join two calls together and also pick which call i wanted on hold and still view the caller ID for both calls. if someone could create a program like this, i would be willing to pay for it as i'm sure other would too.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

So your saying the join calls thing does work on cdma? Perhaps this would be a good idea for an xda developer to get on. I would pay for that.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

when i had a a blackberry on Sprint, yes, i could join two calls together and also see both caller ID of each caller and toggle back and forth between them. I would pay for that as well if it was out there.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

Well, I just went back to the htc dialer and I noticed that the lag isnt very much anymore. I switched my ringtones over to wav instead of mp3 and its about the same as when I have the windows mobile dialer. Maybe a second slower if that. The biggest problem with that is that the htc dialer uses up too much ram. That leaves me with the winmo dialer, which is fine in terms of speed, but looks ugly. And I dont like that notification popup to say theres an incoming call. What the heck were tehy thinking when they made that choice. Id much rather have the full screen caller id than that notification thing at the bottom. Is there anyway to change that?

So basically, I need to figure out how to join incoming calls and try and get a full screen caller id with the winmo dialer.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

I use s2u2 with wimo dialer and full screen caller ID works perfect. don't get the windows caller ID pop up. the latest versoin is 1.42. The dialer may be ugly, but serves it's purpose. much better then the HTC dialer as far as performance goes.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls

I just thought I would chime in and say that if you haven't tried it already turn off the dialer button tones and you will notice a big improvement in the speed.
I'm using Polen's Vista Dialer on my Vogue and like it but it was made for the Vogue qvga and your TP is VGA so it might not work.
