GPS Fix

Has anybody checked out the GPS fix available through XDA?
From my understanding the XDA Serra is a re branded Touch Pro

the update is available Here but I can't get it without an XDA serial number.

Re: GPS Fix

Even if you got it, it would not work on our devices. O2 is a GSM carrier.

Everyone on these forums is CDMA? Isn't the Fuze on a GSM network?

Re: GPS Fix

There are some people here who have GSM devices, they are just outnumbered. To avoid confusion, I'd suggest changing your title to reflect that this is for GSM devices.

Re: GPS Fix

Is this patch for the lag issue?

If so.... perhaps we got a cdma patch coming soon.

I believe that even the Fuze is different from the "international" GSM Touch Pro. Whereas a Sprint user can run a Verizon ROM or Alltel ROM, I don't believe an AT&T user can run an O2 ROM.

BEWARE!!!! DONT JUST INSTALL THIS!!
BEWARE!!!! DONT JUST INSTALL THIS!!
BEWARE!!!! DONT JUST INSTALL THIS!!

Here is the File from O2. BEWARE!!!! DONT JUST INSTALL THIS!!
I downloaded it after messing around with throwing fake serial numbers at it and it finally gave me the file.
If anyone want to TEAR it apart and make it for out phones (both gsm and cdma) here in the USA, please do so.

I dont know what is in this, so I am not bold enough to test this file.

Again...BEWARE NOOBIE!!! DO NOT INSTALL THIS FILE TO YOUR PHONE UNTIL THE EXPERTS HERE SAY WHAT EXACLT THIS DOES!!!!

DONT BLAME ME.....USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

File Type: rar O2UK_QuickGPS_1_00_18152630_2.rar (1.19 MB, 3 views) Click for barcode!

Re: GPS Fix

hey, just did a small amount of research on this.

Inside my Sprint Touch Pro, the Version is 1.0, build is 1817.3430.

By the looks of the file that I just got from this O2 company, it looks from the file name that it is in fact OLDER then the one that we have here on our phone.

Unless this does some sort of registry tweak, I would say that this software is an older version of what we already have.

I will let the experts decide, but dont get your hopes up on anything...it just makes sense by looking at the numbers here....

Hopefully my efforts were not wasted here, maybe I am totally wrong, but, it just doesn't look to be something newer then what we have.

The the OP, nice find, but, I truly think its outdated software.
