Start>Settings>Voice Command>Messaging>Options Unselect the option for only high priority. This will announce messages whenever you connect your device to a bluetooth headset/car package. It also anounces emails and their subjects and appointments. Also, if you want to send txts safely while driving. My friend found this program that allows speech to text. I can't remember what it's called but he's supposed to email it to me. I'll upload it when I get it. |

Re: Any way to use sms over Bluetooth?
thanx for the quick answers guys! I know about the voice command reading your texts but my head unit supports displaying the actual texts and notifacations onscreen?? I have yet to see a sprint phone that supports it. I know a few att phones have it and i was wondering if it was a hardware or software limitation.

Re: Any way to use sms over Bluetooth?
Here it is. I haven't tested it so I know just as much as you do about it.
He said it was demonstrated to him by some guy and it worked pretty well. Update: I installed and ran it through its lengths. It's a pretty solid program; however, it's a little cumbersome. If you're looking at sending messages with just your voice lightning fast...it's not going to happen, but keep in mind this is a safety feature to use on the road. It looks like it takes a recording of your voice, sends it out, and sends you back the compiled text, but it is very accurate on what I was saying--occasionally inserting commas and periods where appropriate. I couldn't get it to work through bluetooth, maybe someone can play with it. Sadly, it's not freeware, only a three day trial. If you talk with your management at work though, they may buy it for you if texting is a common way to communicate on the job. Quote it as a safety issue and they will more than likely do it.
