Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
This sounds good, but how do I download the tab ?? I usually just select it (CommManager) as a program, which takes me to the standard list of communication options (Bluetooth on/off, DataConnection on/off etc.), then make my changes . . .

Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
I have this information, including the cab file - but let me look for the link where I got the info and cab and point you there. If I can't find it, I'll post what I have (I don't remember if I got it from here or XDA - I usually save the link with the info, but for some reason I didn't that time)
Give me just a little bit... |

Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
Wingzfan beat me to it!
The link I used was http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=52328 - the 2nd post. I liked the explanation ShadowDrake gave. I would just add that it is best to edit your own 26948339_manila file (this file seems to define the tabs and their order). Don't use the one in ShadowDrake's zip file unless you are also adding the Calendar tab (also in that post). Last edited by speck; 01-25-2009 at 05:30 PM. |

Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
Use the Diamond Utilities cab found in this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=273
Works awesome - just a quick toggle for on/off of bluetooth and wifi |

Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
U use AEButton Plus, a little app I found at XDA... I just have my Send key mapped so that two quick presses toggles Bluetooth on/off. Works perfect for me.
(As well as being a nice program for other key presses - I have my Voice recorder on the end key - three presses, close programs is two presses, etc.)

Re: Easy Bluetooth on/off ?
You could also just remap the 'Programs' key (right soft key) on the Home tab to get you to the comm manager. It involves editing the registry, but if you can do that, it is easy to set, and easy to change back if you don't like it.
The keys are in HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ Change Key from (empty) to: HomeRSKPath \Windows\CommManager.exe HomeRSKText CommMgr The text does not have to be CommMgr, you can use a word you want. If you want to go back to the softkey being 'Programs', all you need to do is delete the information you added, such that the 2 keys are then empty again. |

Thanks! everyone for the quick replies. Initially I'm going to try the AEButton mapping (I didn't realize it it had submenus for Bluetooth, WiFi etc.) and Diamond Tweak, then dive into editing Manila --- thanks for the references to the detailed how-to. . . |
